Lakme Fashion Week Day 2: The spotlight was on Sobhita Dhulipala, Sonakshi Sinha, Shilpa Shetty who stole the show

Deme by Gabriella, Flirtatious by Aakriti, and Limerick by Abirr n Nanki showcased their unique designs during the fashion show. Deme by Gabriella presented a range of chic outfits made from washed denims as well as glamorous evening gowns that added sparkle to the show. Limerick by Abirr n Nanki celebrated the rich culture of Kashmir, with Shilpa Shetty as the showstopper. Flirtatious by Aakriti drew inspiration from the show White Lotus and explored prints such as lemons and beach umbrellas, combined with geometric elements like checkerboard pool tiles and exposed brick walls. Sanya Malhotra closed the show as the showstopper, wearing a saffron-colored bikini blouse with a cut skirt and dupatta.

Line Outline by Deepti Chugh, Sameer Madan, Tisastudio Deepti Chugh’s Line Outline collection showcased streamlined designs, asymmetrical cuts, and geometric patterns, with solid tailoring adding to the overall impact. Sameer Madan’s “Untamed” collection was a bold mix of fantasy and mystery, reminiscent of the glitzy 90s, with animal prints adding a chic touch. Tisastudio’s Spring Summer’23 collection featured ready-to-wear occasion wear with clean geometric patterns, and was highlighted by Gurfateh Pirzada’s show-stopping walk on the ramp.

Itrh, Tanieya Khanija, Varun Nidhika “Itrh’s “Dancing Queen” collection showcases stunning maximalism with a focus on crystals. The designers used Swarovski and crystal-studded textiles to create a sheer yet pastel-hued facade with sleek silhouettes. Sonakshi Sinha and Antara Motiwala bedazzled as showstoppers. Marwah Tanieya Khanuja’s “Queen Moves Only” collection celebrated women who are always on the move with bodycon dresses, easy-to-wear sarees, and power pantsuits. Meanwhile, “Dreamsequence” by Varun Nidhika presented a refreshing palette of pearl whites, soft ash blues, desert rose, and earthy charcoals in lightweight textiles.

Siddhartha Bansal’s collection, ‘Seven Heaven’, took inspiration from the free-spirited fashion of the 60s and 70s, featuring prints and fluid silhouettes. The designer, who won ‘The Spotlight by Nexa’ contest, incorporated ruffles and vibrant hues to create a positive visual experience that stimulates the senses. Sanjana Sanghi graced the ramp as the showstopper for Bansal’s collection.

Lakmé Sheer Drama X Tarun Tahiliani Luxe Pret Tarun Tahiliani’s show at Lakme Fashion Week was the talk of the town, and how can it not be when Sobhita Dhulipala walked as the showstopper? The rest of the collection featured a pearly palette, while Sobhita stood out in a stunning red corset dress with intricate drapes, leaving everyone in awe. The highlight of the show were the drapes, showcasing light fabrics and regal looks that were truly mesmerizing.
