On the first day of the Fashion Design Council of India x Lakmé Fashion Week, Alpana Neeraj showed a refined womenswear collection that contrasted soft, sheer textiles with formal motifs and geometric structures.
The collection brought to mind the idea of ‘modern ethereal’ with structured bodices paired with sheer skirts and soft hues mixed with sharp tailoring. Notable looks included a sheer jumpsuit with appliqué patterns and an all white, sheer ensemble featuring an oversized bow and circular lacy details. The collection’s colour palette of white, peach, black, and mint green added a touch of subtlety to the designs and made them wearable.
