Fashion designer Abhishek Gupta introduced an occasion wear line for men and women in jewel tones that mirrored the splendour of the city’s traditional weaves, alluding to the beauty of his hometown, Benares. The film was a trendy ode to Benares, shot against the backdrop of the city.
‘Homecoming’ collection creates an ethereal experience. The collection is deeply rooted in tradition yet transcends every cultural barrier with its jewel tones like Burgundy, Teal Green and Prussian Blue and fabrics like fine silk and sheer nets. Shot in the holy city of Benaras, each ensemble weaves in the designer’s feeling of homecoming with traditional motifs and the label’s signature techniques of fine appliqué, pleating, textures and quilting.
