On March 23, Meesho announced the launch of an integrated e-commerce mobile app. With the goal of bringing more small businesses online, the app is meant for both buyers and sellers.
“To further aid the digitisation of small businesses in the country, Meesho announced the launch of an integrated e-commerce mobile app for Android users,” Meesho said in a statement, according to the Press Trust of India.
The app aims to provide Meesho’s sellers with an enhanced experience by allowing them to access features such as order processing and payment tracking that were previously only available on the company’s website. This is especially beneficial for small businesses in rural areas, where many people do not own laptops or tablets and instead access the internet through their smartphones.
According to the company, Meesho’s new app features include the ability to switch between the ‘buyer’ and’seller’ interfaces with a single click. The new app also includes seller support. The launch is part of the company’s e-commerce strategy of going “mobile first.”
