The Fashion Design Council of India and Lakmé Fashion Week have announced that their next joint fashion week would take place in October in a ‘phygital’ style.
The fashion week will kick off with a digital display by designer Tarun Tahiliani, which will be co-presented by FDCI and Lakmé Fashion Week, according to a statement from the two organisations. To maintain social separation and artistic diversity, the event will combine real runway shows with digital presentations.
The FDCI announced on Facebook that participating designers this season include Anamika Khanna, Pankaj & Nidhi, MXS by Monisha Jaising and Shweta Bachchan, Payal Jain, Abhishek Gupta, Geisha Designs by Paras & Shalini, Rina Dhaka, Rana Gill, Jade by Monica & Karishma, Shruti Sancheti, Arpita Mehta, Chola, Rise Fashion and Lifestyle, Nexa, Ajio, the Natural Diamond Council, and Logitech have all worked with the fashion week to support designers on their runway presentations.
