Poshmark, a specialised second-hand clothes marketplace, has officially started in India, and the company has big aspirations for expansion.
Poshmark already has a team of employees in India focusing on research and development for its global operations prior to its launch. To improve its India and worldwide businesses, the company expects to continue to hire and add to its India personnel base as it grows.
Poshmark allows vendors to submit their items, which are mostly used, branded apparel, and buyers to browse the platform for various labels and products. Chandra believes that, with the rise of sustainable fashion in India, there will be a big uptake across the country. The company went public around seven months ago.
